Our Background

Mindfulness Wales is a project run under Samye Foundation Wales (SFW). Our background means that our trainers have been practising mindfulness for many years and have received rigorous training and attended retreats in mindfulness and meditation from the Samye Ling Tibetan Centre for Meditation, World Peace and Health. This ensures all teachings and trainers are of the highest calibre and fully appreciate the sensitivity in nature of mindfulness training. Our membership of the Mindfulness Association grant us access to visiting speakers, teachers & practitioners of Mindfulness training who teach all around the world. The Mindfulness Association developed the MSc programmes in Mindfulness with Aberdeen University.

Our Centres

We have two centres in Wales where Mindfulness courses are run as well as other workshops, therapies and events. Our Cardiff Centre runs regular 8 week evening courses throughout the year. The venue is: 'The Soul Centre' 116-118 Cowbridge Road East, Canton, Cardiff CF11 9DX

Our Caerphilly Centre overlooks Caerphilly Castle and offers regular 8 week mindfulness evening and day courses.

What We Do

We are a social enterprise that delivers mindfulness stress-reduction workshops and courses to businesses operating in Wales. Mindfulness is a series of simple, guided techniques that allows employees to become more focused and calmer.  All our profits from our corporate courses are re-invested into our community work which enables us to offer heavily discounted mindfulness courses to disadvantaged groups in the community. The project is managed by Our Corporate Team.

Mindfulness Wales is a project supported by The Community Economic Development (CED) programme.  The CED programme is delivered in partnership by a 6 valleys Local Authority consortium of: Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Torfaen.  The programme is supported by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government.

Empower your mind...Empower your business
Our mindfulness trainers regularly benefit from refresher courses to ensure they remain at the top of their field whilst keeping up-to-date with developments of techniques to ensure we offer quality teaching at all times.
